These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SSvid desktop application ("Application") and our website at ssvid.app ("Website"), operated by Downloader Software ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using SSvid, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing, downloading, or using SSvid, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and that you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application or Website.

2. Description of service

SSvid is a client-side application that helps users download publicly available media from supported websites. The product runs on your own device. SSvid does not host, store, or distribute third-party video content on behalf of users.

3. License grant

3.1 Free plan

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SSvid for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. The free plan currently allows up to 5 downloads per day at standard quality.

3.2 Premium plans

Paid plans unlock additional product features, higher quality settings, larger device allowances, batch and playlist tools, scheduling, and other Premium capabilities described on the Pricing page. Premium access remains subject to these Terms and the specific limits of the plan you purchase.

3.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, resell, sublicense, or redistribute SSvid itself without written permission.
• Reverse-engineer or decompile the Application except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Use SSvid to build or operate a competing product by copying proprietary parts of the software.
• Remove or alter copyright notices, branding, or proprietary markings from the Application.

4. Acceptable use and your responsibility

4.1 Lawful use

SSvid is a tool. You are solely responsible for how you use it. You agree to use SSvid only for lawful purposes and in compliance with copyright law, platform terms, and all applicable local regulations.

• Download only content you have the legal right to download.
• Respect the intellectual property rights of creators and platforms.
• Do not use SSvid to violate the law or abuse third-party services.
• Do not redistribute downloaded content without proper authorization.

4.2 No liability for user actions

We do not monitor or pre-approve what you download. Any legal consequences arising from your use of downloaded content are your responsibility.

5. Intellectual property

5.1 Ownership

The SSvid Application, Website, brand assets, product design, and related materials are the intellectual property of Downloader Software and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

5.2 Open source components

SSvid incorporates open source components such as yt-dlp, ffmpeg, and gallery-dl. Those components remain subject to their own licenses.

6. Payment terms

6.1 Plan types

SSvid offers Free and Premium plans, including Monthly, Yearly, and Lifetime options, as described on the Pricing page.

6.2 Billing

• Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
• Checkout may offer card payments and other Stripe-supported methods depending on region and availability.
• All prices are listed in USD unless stated otherwise.
• We do not store full payment credentials on ssvid.app.

6.3 Refund policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for eligible purchases. Contact [email protected] within 30 days of purchase if you need refund help.

6.4 Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription at any time. Access to paid subscription features continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise required by law. Billing changes can be handled through Manage subscription.

6.5 Price changes

We may change pricing in the future. Where required, we will provide reasonable notice before a price increase affects existing subscribers.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

SSvid is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, compatibility with every system, or permanent compatibility with every third-party platform.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Downloader Software and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Application or Website, including loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Downloader Software and its affiliates from claims arising out of your misuse of the Application, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of third-party rights.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to paid services if you materially violate these Terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent or harmful activity. You may stop using SSvid at any time by uninstalling it.

11. Updates and modifications

We may release updates that add features, fix bugs, improve security, or adjust compatibility. Continued use of SSvid after updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Downloader Software, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer protection law requires otherwise.

13. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
