Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SSvid applications, website at ssvid.app, and related services (collectively, "SSvid"), operated under the name Downloader Software ("we", "our", or "us"). By installing, purchasing, accessing, or using SSvid, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

SSvid is software that helps users find, organize, process, play, and download compatible media made available to their device or signed-in browser session. Most processing takes place on the user's device. SSvid does not host or own the third-party media that users choose to access.

Supported sources and features can change when websites, operating systems, third-party components, or technical requirements change. We do not promise permanent compatibility with every source or URL.

2. Eligibility and acceptance

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. SSvid is not directed to children under 16. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must approve your use and any purchase.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use SSvid. Mandatory rights that apply under local law are not excluded by these Terms.

3. Software license and plans

3.1 License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SSvid for your own lawful purposes, subject to these Terms and the plan shown when you obtain or purchase the software.

3.2 Free and Premium plans

Free and Premium plans may differ by download allowance, output quality, simultaneous work, device allowance, batch tools, scheduling, player tools, and other features. The current limits and included features are the ones shown in the Application and on the Pricing page at the time of purchase. A reference to "unlimited downloads" means that SSvid does not apply the stated Free-plan period quota; reasonable technical, concurrency, source, and abuse-prevention limits may still apply.

A Premium purchase licenses SSvid's software features only. It does not sell, transfer, or grant any ownership, copyright, access right, or download permission for third-party content.

3.3 Restrictions on the software

Except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you may not:

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute SSvid or a license key without our written permission.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract proprietary parts of SSvid.
• Remove or alter SSvid branding, copyright notices, or proprietary markings.
• Use SSvid, its backend, or its licensing system fraudulently, abusively, or in a way that disrupts other users.

4. Content rights and acceptable use

4.1 Your responsibility

Download or process content only when you own it, have permission from the owner or platform, or applicable law otherwise allows it. Personal or offline use does not automatically make a download lawful. You are responsible for checking the rights and platform rules that apply to the content you choose.

4.2 Prohibited uses

You may not use SSvid to:

• Infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other third-party rights.
• Bypass or defeat DRM, encryption, paywalls, account permissions, or other effective access or copy controls.
• Use credentials, cookies, or account sessions that you are not authorized to use.
• Redistribute, sell, impersonate the creator of, or claim ownership of downloaded content without authorization.
• Access unlawful content or use SSvid for fraud, harassment, malware, or other illegal activity.

4.3 Signed-in sources

Some sources provide media only to a signed-in account. If you choose to sign in or use browser cookies, you represent that the account and session are yours or that you are authorized to use them. A source making media visible to an account does not necessarily grant permission to download, copy, or redistribute it.

4.4 DRM boundary

SSvid is not intended to break DRM. Sources that rely on protected or encrypted playback may be unsupported. You must not attempt to modify SSvid or combine it with other tools to defeat those protections.

5. Copyright notices

We respect intellectual property rights and may investigate reports concerning SSvid-hosted material, website links, product integrations, or use of our services. Our process and notice requirements are described in the Copyright Policy.

SSvid generally cannot remove media hosted by a third-party platform. A request to remove the original content should be sent to the platform or rightsholder responsible for hosting it.

6. Purchases, subscriptions, and refunds

6.1 Checkout

Prices, billing periods, currencies, taxes, device allowances, and plan features are displayed before purchase. Payments are handled by the payment processor identified at checkout. We do not receive or store complete card numbers, card security codes, or private cryptocurrency keys.

6.2 Subscriptions

A recurring subscription continues for the billing period shown at checkout until canceled. You can manage or cancel an eligible subscription through Manage subscription or the processor identified in your receipt. Unless the checkout or applicable law states otherwise, cancellation stops future renewal and access continues until the end of the paid billing period.

6.3 Lifetime licenses

A Lifetime license is a one-time license for the supported product and device allowance described at purchase. "Lifetime" refers to the supported lifetime of that licensed product, not a guarantee that every third-party source, online service, or operating system will remain available forever.

6.4 Refunds

Eligible purchases are covered by the refund period stated at checkout, currently 30 days for plans displaying that guarantee. Contact [email protected] with the purchase email and receipt reference. This policy does not limit any mandatory refund or cancellation right under applicable law.

6.5 Price and plan changes

We may change prices or plan features prospectively. Material changes affecting an existing recurring subscription will be communicated where required. We will not charge a new price for a future billing period without the notice or authorization required by applicable law and the payment processor.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what stays on your device, what may leave it, which service providers are involved, and the controls available to you. You are responsible for reviewing information before voluntarily sending it through support, AI, diagnostics, or other online features.

8. Third-party services and open-source components

SSvid can interact with websites, payment processors, AI providers, release hosts, and other third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. SSvid includes open-source components such as yt-dlp, FFmpeg, and gallery-dl, which remain subject to their respective licenses.

References to a third-party platform do not imply that the platform sponsors, endorses, or authorizes SSvid.

9. Availability, updates, and security

We may update SSvid to add features, fix defects, improve security, change compatibility, or comply with legal and operational requirements. We may limit a feature or source when reasonably necessary to address security, abuse, legal notices, or third-party changes.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of important files and for installing security or compatibility updates appropriate for your device.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to online or paid services when reasonably necessary to address fraud, chargebacks, security threats, material violations of these Terms, infringement reports, or abuse of our infrastructure. Where practical and lawful, we will provide notice and a way to contact support. You may stop using SSvid at any time and may manage recurring billing as described above.

11. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, SSvid is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, successful extraction from every source, or permanent compatibility with third-party platforms. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of SSvid, loss of compatibility with a third-party source, or a user's unauthorized use of content. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including mandatory consumer rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms when the product, business, or law changes. We will publish the effective date and provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate. Changes apply prospectively. If applicable law requires fresh consent for a change, continued use alone will not replace that consent.

14. Governing rules and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the SSvid operator, without overriding mandatory consumer protections or rights available where you live. Before starting a formal dispute, contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly.
