These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SSvid desktop application ("Application") and our website at ssvid.app ("Website"), operated by Downloader Software ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using SSvid, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, downloading, or using SSvid, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and that you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use the Application or Website.

2. Description of Service

SSvid is a desktop application that enables users to download publicly available media content from supported websites. The Application is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

SSvid does not host, store, or distribute any video content. SSvid is a client-side tool that runs entirely on your device. All media is downloaded directly from third-party platforms to your local machine. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content available on those platforms.

3. License Grant

3.1 Free Plan

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use SSvid for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. The Free plan permits up to 3 downloads per day at standard quality.

3.2 Premium Plans

Paid subscribers (Premium) receive an expanded license that includes commercial use rights, such as downloading media for use in business projects, content creation, or professional work, provided that such use complies with all applicable copyright laws and the terms of the originating platform.

3.3 Restrictions

Regardless of your plan, you may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the SSvid Application or any part of its source code.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Application except as permitted by applicable law.
  • Use SSvid to build a competing product or service.
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks on the Application.

4. Acceptable Use and User Responsibility

4.1 Your Responsibility

SSvid is a tool. You are solely responsible for how you use it. You agree to use SSvid only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws. Specifically, you agree:

  • To download only content that you have the legal right to download.
  • To respect the copyright and intellectual property rights of content creators.
  • Not to use SSvid to infringe upon the terms of service of any third-party platform.
  • Not to redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit downloaded content without proper authorization from the content owner.

4.2 Fair Use

SSvid is designed to facilitate legitimate downloading of media content. We encourage users to download content for personal, educational, or fair use purposes as defined by applicable copyright law in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for determining whether your use qualifies as fair use.

4.3 No Liability for User Actions

SSvid is a neutral tool. We do not monitor, review, or control what you download. Any legal consequences arising from your use of downloaded content are entirely your responsibility. We disclaim all liability for any copyright infringement or other legal violations committed by users.

4.4 Account Security

If you create an account or subscribe to a paid plan, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Ownership

The SSvid Application, Website, logos, branding, and all related code, design, and content are the intellectual property of Downloader Software and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Open Source Components

SSvid incorporates open source software components (including yt-dlp, ffmpeg, and gallery-dl) that are subject to their own licenses. A list of these components and their respective licenses is available within the Application under Settings.

6. Payment Terms

6.1 Subscription Plans

SSvid offers Free and Premium plans, including Monthly, Yearly, and Lifetime billing options. Features and limitations for each plan are described on our Pricing page.

6.2 Billing

  • Paid subscriptions are billed on a monthly or yearly basis, depending on your chosen plan. Lifetime plans are billed as a one-time payment.
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe (credit/debit cards) or supported cryptocurrency processors (Bitcoin, USDT, Ethereum).
  • All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.
  • We never see or store your full credit card number. All card processing is handled by Stripe.

6.3 Refund Policy

  • Refunds are available within 7 days of purchase for the current billing period. Contact [email protected] to request a refund.
  • Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. We aim to be fair and reasonable.
  • Cryptocurrency payments are non-refundable due to the irreversible nature of blockchain transactions.
  • Lifetime plan purchases are eligible for refund within the same 7-day window.

6.4 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused time beyond the 7-day refund window.

6.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase takes effect. Existing subscribers will be notified via email and within the Application.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

SSvid is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that:

  • The Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.
  • Downloads will always succeed or be available from all platforms.
  • The Application will be compatible with all systems, configurations, or operating system versions.
  • Third-party platforms will not change their APIs, terms, or content availability.

Third-party platforms frequently update their systems, which may temporarily affect SSvid's functionality. We make reasonable efforts to maintain compatibility but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service for any specific platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Downloader Software and its developers, officers, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Application.
  • Any content downloaded through the Application.
  • Unauthorized access to your data or account.
  • Any third-party claims related to your use of downloaded content.
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Downloader Software and its developers, officers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Application, or any third-party claim related to your use of downloaded content, including but not limited to copyright infringement claims.

10. Account Termination

  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to SSvid if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that is harmful to the service or other users.
  • You may stop using the Application at any time by uninstalling it.
  • Upon termination of a paid subscription, your access to paid features ends at the close of the current billing period.
  • Upon termination for Terms violation, access ceases immediately and no refund is provided.
  • Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, and 12 survive any termination of these Terms.

11. Updates and Modifications

We may release updates to the Application that add features, fix bugs, or address security issues. By using the auto-update feature, you consent to receiving these updates automatically. You may disable automatic update checks in Settings.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Downloader Software operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, then binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through the Application or by posting a notice on our Website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly. Continued use of SSvid after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
