Copy the Instagram URL
Open Instagram in your browser (instagram.com). Navigate to the Reel, post, or Story you want. Copy the URL from your address bar. For posts: https://www.instagram.com/p/ABC123/ For Reels: https://www.instagram.com/reel/ABC123/
Paste into SSvid
Open SSvid and paste the Instagram URL. SSvid detects the content type — video, image, carousel, or Reel — and shows download options.

Click Download. For carousels, SSvid downloads every image and video in the set as separate files. For Reels and video posts, you get the full-quality video file.

Instagram Carousels
Instagram carousels (posts with multiple photos/videos) are handled by gallery-dl, SSvid's image extraction engine. When you paste a carousel URL:
- SSvid detects all media items in the carousel
- Each image is saved in full resolution (up to 1080x1350)
- Videos within carousels are saved separately
- Files are named sequentially (post_1.jpg, post_2.jpg, etc.)
