Windows FAQ

Will Windows SmartScreen block the installer?

SmartScreen may show a warning for new apps. Click "More info" then "Run anyway". SSvid is safe and virus-free. We're working on getting a Windows code signing certificate to eliminate this warning entirely.

Is there a portable version?

Yes. Download the .zip file instead of the .exe installer. Extract it anywhere and run SSvid directly — no installation needed. Perfect for USB drives.

Does it work on Windows 10?

Yes. SSvid supports Windows 10 (64-bit, version 1809+) and Windows 11. Both are fully tested and supported.

How do I uninstall SSvid?

Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps, find SSvid, and click Uninstall. For portable installations, just delete the folder.

Why does SSvid need WebView2?

WebView2 powers the in-app browser feature, letting you browse and download from within SSvid. It's pre-installed on Windows 10/11. If missing, SSvid will prompt you to install it.
